# Understanding transaction statuses

> What each transaction status means — including the ones that look alarming but aren't.

Most statuses are self-explanatory. A couple are gas mechanics that operators commonly misread.

  **Normal flow:** **New** (created) → **Pending** (detected on-chain) → **Done** (confirmed).

<Warning>
  **"Refund" is not a customer refund.** It reimburses the system for fronting the miner fee when your account wallet lacked gas. **"Wait for funds"** means neither your account nor the system had gas to complete a sweep — the status names which wallet to top up and by how much. **"Error"** is a CryptoNow-side issue (e.g. a balance discrepancy or insufficient gas).
